Honig S.B. - Sentimental Favorite

One of the first wines I ever picked out by myself, without any assistance or input, was Honig Sauvignon Blanc.  I wish I could say I had done some in depth research prior to discovering this little wine gem from Napa Valley.  However, I must admit it was a lucky grab - I picked it out because I thought the bottle was really cool

I drank it last night with some Indian food: chicken tikka masala and sag paneer.  It worked splendidly.  Try it.

The Skinny
Honig Sauvignon Blanc '02 ($14)
Napa Valley, California
Very pale gold in color
Not quite as aromatic as New Zealand SauviBlanc.  Herbs, lemongrass and citrus
Moderately crisp in the mouth with a soft, grapefruity finish
****(4 stars out of 5)

This is an incredibly versatile food wine.  Try it with Indian, Asian, shellfish; even Southern fried chicken!
