Chappellet Sangiovese

I'm a fan of Chappellet Vineyards (Napa) Dry Chenin Blanc.

I tried Chappellet's Sangiovese ('99) the other day.

Napa Valley, California
A deep inky wine
Lots of red-heading-towards-black fruit and oak on the nose
Full bodied with big, round tannins and a smooth finish
This was a nice wine.  Although, for a couple bucks less, Atlas Peak Sangiovese offers comparable quality
