Funk Week: "What it is!"

Say the following words out loud:

"Funk"
"Funky"

What images just popped into your head?  When I hear the word, "funk," I think of music, cheese, Old world wine, George Clinton, and black bananas.  I think of something a little bit pungent, a little bit dirty, a little bit nasty, and a little bit hard to describe.  But most of all I think of something that challenges all of my senses and keeps me sniffing/tasting/touching/listening.

This week I would like to explore funk in all its forms.  So, if you've recently drank, eaten, felt, or listened to anything funky - let me know, and I'll post it here.  Let's get funky.
