JM Brocard Chablis
(ed's note - this is the first in a series of tasting notes written by the WineGoddess. The notes are written in Ye Olde British/Master of Wine Style. I find them to be concise, descriptive, and a puff of fresh air to this blog)
2000 Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis Les Clos ($46)
"Clear, with a medium gold core fading to a pale watery rim. Clean, somewhat youthful but complex nose, with pronounced aromas of green apple, wet minerals, and a steely, floral character. Dry, with medium-high acid. Full-bodied, with medium alcohol and very long length. A clean, stainless steel style with a long minerally finish. An excellent quality Grand Cru Chablis for its focus and expression of terroir. Drink now, but will evolve and hold for another 10-15 years."
