White Graves
2001 Chateau Graville-Lacoste Graves ($13)
Clear and bright, with a medium straw core fading to a pale watery rim. Clean, medium intense, youthful nose of grass, minerals, honeydew melon and lemon peel. Dry, with crisp acidity and no tannins. Medium bodied, with intense flavors of tangy citrus, minerals and herbs. Medium alcohol, with a long finish. Good quality semillon-based white Graves. A good value. Drink now, but has enough fruit and acidity to drink well over the next 5 years.
