AKA Austrian Crack
Grammeln, AKA Austrian crack, is something similar to pork cracklins coated with the Colonel's original recipe batter. I think it's made by drying pork fat, coating it with batter and then deep frying. A heart healthy snack to be sure, which paired splendidly with the racy white wines of Hermann Leeb. I only had a few pieces, honest.
