Wein & Design
Before heading to Styria in Southern Austria, I've had the great pleasure of staying at my first wine hotel - Hotel Rathaus Wien Wein & Design. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, not far from the Museum Quarter, Vienna's people watching mecca. Hotel W&D is a small boutique hotel with 33 rooms. Each room is dedicated to an Austrian winery. I'm recovering from jetlag in the Triebaumer room. Aside from a giant wine label on my door, there is also a nifty selection of Triebaumer wines in the wardrobe. It's a wine lover's oasis.

Managers Martina & Conrad enjoy my attempt at pronouncing, "Gelber Muskateller."

I also had the opportunity to interview the hotel's manager, Martina Pöll. Stay tuned for the podcast, which should appear in the next few days at Winecast.

How cool! I didn't know such things as wine hotels existed.
