Hi Beau,
Ch. Haut-Bertinerie Premières Côtes-de-Blaye is another SB oak barrel miracle. Check out the 2000 vintage in particular.
Nice piece by the way. Pairing the barrique-aged Sauvignon was the focus of my piece too.

Unquestionably! Try Dog Point 'Section 94' or Cloudy Bay Te Koko from Marlbrough in NZ.

At least you guys aren't lauding "Fume Blanc"...that stuff makes me want to burn every oak barrel california winemakers ever put SB into.
A few local (long island) wineries do a little oak on their SB...but I think the 100% stainless does better here.
